A huge Lake Ontario carp which was caught with my good friend Greg, broken tendon and all!

I Broke my tendon in my finger a few days before but I was still determined set off to meet my good friend/guide Greg Amiel. We had a good day and caught around 10 carp this size between the two of us.

I was studying in Melbourne, Australia back in 2007 and I took every opportunity to explore the fishing scene there. I met another avid angler by the name of Sunny, who resided in Melbourne for more than 20 years and we quickly became good fishing buddies. We looked forward to the weekends when we would go on fishing excursions. We targeted all sorts of species from both freshwater and saltwater fish.
It was early winter when Sunny organized a day trip to fish for trout! I had always been excited to fish this fantastic species. We headed up north of Eildon Lake, which is situated about 4 hours north of Melbourne.

My beautiful family, taken while fishing lake Ontario.
I caught this 29lb carp while fishing Lake Ontario. I had a hair rig on with corn attached! I Love the look on my kids face “EWWWW” but they are a beautiful species!

Simon caught this big boy carp on the Grand River.

I Started the open water season with carp fishing. Dew worms in a back eddy took this one on the Grand River.

This monster was caught on a crappie rig, with 6lb line. That's not easy, drag out!
This smallmouth was caught on lake Erie, one of the worlds largest freshwater lakes
On His Icy Pike:
Some of the last ice fishing for this year had the bigger pike on the hunt. Caught this 30″ pike on a crappie rig with a 2″ minnow and 6lb line.
We love this one, there’s nothing like grabbing a monster on an unexpected rig. It makes for a nice little adrenaline rush.
